Bergtex was founded in Lagan in the south of Sweden in1962. The area has a tradition within the textile industry which has helped us to build a company with a highly skilled staff and short lead times, since many of our suppliers are located close-by. Already at the outset, the goal of Bergtex was to function as a top quality, flexible subcontractor within the bedding industry. This goal remains unchanged and today we pride ourselves in being one of the world´s premier manufacturers of top quality bed mattresses. 
Even if top quality and flexibility at times cannot be achieved using a fully automated production process, we are constantly evaluating new production techniques to ensure that our production is as cost effective as possible. For longer production series, our production line allows us to work very efficient, with an integrated materials flow from the first step in the production to shipping. 
Mattress fillings span over a wide range from synthetic materials such as PU foam and various fibers to natural materials such as wool, horsehair or latex. Also knowing the properties of various fabrics add to the complexity of designing a mattress to fit your needs. At Bergtex we know these materials, the suppliers and follow the development in the different fields. By doing this, we have the ability to work as a partner to our customers in designing and developing product lines. Today, most of our customers are located within Scandinavia, but exports to the rest of Europe grows at a steady rate. Corporate facts
